We were sad that Mommy was so upset by the kitchen floor be squishy. It had little humps in it and smelled funny, too. We noticed the smell especially because, well, we are closer to the floor.
For 9 whole days we had our day interrupted because Mommy’s son, Chris, came up here with a friend of his and beat and banged and tore stuff out and made all kinds of noise with hammers and saws. It was terrible. We stayed hid as best we could from the minute Chris drove down the driveway until he left at night.
Then we came out and checked out what had been accomplished. Most of the time it was still a mess.
Our entire daily routine was blown to kitty hell! We were not happy felines. Hiss!!!
At long last it was over and we could explore the finished product of our human brother’s hard work. It is cat-tabulous!
Tigger was glad Mommy put a chair so he could check out the counter.
Nothing wrong here….
This is nice…
Can I reach the ceiling fan from here?
Maggie Mae and Spicy also had to give their approval.
Me, Amber, checking it out as well. (I don’t get on the counters…. I have manners)
The table meets with Spicy’s approval. It also makes a good spot to watch birdies on the deck when Mommy feeds them crumbs.

Amber, Mikey, Maggie Mae, and Tigger celebrated their 5th birthday on March 2, 2012. It doesn’t seem like 5 years to me, their human Mommy. The litter consisted of 5 kittens. Miss Amy passed away from a heart ailment at age three.
Through the last 5 years these cats have been been our source of joy. Their personalities cover the spectrum from timid and shy to in-you-face friendliness. Their antics have given us laughter when it was needed most. Even as “mature adults” they continue to be clowns and as we began calling them as youngsters: The Wrecking Crew. They were so called because they destroyed everything in the path of their mad dashes and games of tag.
They are definitely big boys and girls now: Maggie Mae, the “smallest” is nearly 14 pounds.
Happy Birthday Baby Kittens. . . Mommy and Daddy love you very much!
Maggie has been busy getting into trouble. This morning Maggie Mae missed a leap and fell. Her front part landed in the food bowl and our food flew all over the dining room. Her back part landed in the water dish that was next to the food and threw all the water everywhere.
The water and food were all mixed together all over. It was a big sloppy mess.
Maggie Mae ran real fast so as to not get blamed, but Mommy saw the whole thing. Mommy had to stop laughing before she could clean it up. Maggie came up and rubbed against Mommy. That was her way of saying she was sorry. She was also embarrassed. Maggie Mae seldom misses a leap.
After she watched Mommy clean up and (gasp) throw away the sloppy cat food, Maggie found a soft spot and took a nap. Mommy says the only time Maggie isn’t getting into trouble is when she is sleeping. . . and then she’s probably dreaming about getting in trouble. . .
