Amber here. . . Santa was good to us. . . we got Catnip! Oh, there were toys too, but the Nip is what we wanted most of all. I like to roll in it.
Mommy gave us our toys and scattered some Nip around for us. We thought the toys were okay, but the Nip got our attention. We love Nip!
Lisa enjoyed her Nip too. She is holding her own with the intestinal lymphoma so far, and it made us all happy that she felt like joining in the festivities. Thomas T. was eyeballing her Nip. He didn’t get any of Lisa’s though, he had his own.
We got some really neat toys. There is a track with a ball in it to play with, balls and other swat and chase toys, a really neat thingy on a wire that Mommy or Daddy hold and let us chase it while it springs around. . . I forget what Mommy called it, sorry. We also got a really neat laser light that runs on a battery and doesn’t have to have Mommy and Daddy hold it. That way we can play when they are busy. It’s the coolest toy we got.
We had a very Merry Christmas and hope you did too. Mommy didn’t have to go to her job for 4 days! We also got snowed in, so she and Daddy were here with us all 4 days. We really liked that.

Maggie Mae and I like to nap together in our favorite chair. Maggie always curls up in a tight ball, so its hard to get a good picture of her.
Mommy tries to though. The flashy box was waking me up.
Whew, now maybe I can get some more napping done.

Hi, Mommy left her coat draped across my favorite chair. I decided it didn’t matter as it made the chair much more comfy for a nap. Of course, as soon as I got settled in, here came Mommy with the flashy box.
I’m always aware of my supreme mancat handsomeness, and think Mommy’s coat sets me off rather well.
Oh, and Mommy says to tell you she is starting to feel better. We are all happy about that!

Our Mommy has not been feeling good this week. She had to go to the VET; TWICE!!! It worried us because our Mommy never goes to see her vet. (She is quick to take us to see our vet though.) She didn’t go to her job either. I hope it is OK, cause Mommy usually goes and spends time with it almost every day. I bet the job missed her. We miss her when she goes and spends time with it.
On the last vet trip she came back with two bottles of pills to take. We wondered if Daddy would have to make her take them like she does us. We were surprised to learn that she will take them herself, without Daddy having to make her open her mouth and then holding it closed till she swallows.
Daddy doesn’t even give her a treat after she takes her pills! Unheard of! I’m ashamed of Daddy. He knows better. Mommy should get a treat for being so good about it. We always do, whether we take our pills willingly or not.
All we know is that Mommy was feeling really bad. She even took the couch away from us and laid on it most of the time. We snuggled up around her to let her know we were worried. I think it helped, cause she would relax and go to sleep.
Mommy says she is starting to feel a little better. We are glad about that. We could tell Mommy was sick and worried about her getting too sick to take care of us and Daddy. I think Mommy worried about that too.
Cross your paws that Mommy will get all better real soon. Ours are.

Mommy put this Christmas tree on my favorite perch. This is where I like to sit and watch what’s going on in the cottage.
I finally figured out that I am small enough to get under the tree and sit.
Hmmm, these branches and dangly things tickle when I sit up.
I like the tree, but will glad when Mommy puts it away so I can stretch out and be comfortable.

Mommy finally got the dangly things on our tree. Of course, as soon as she was finished, I decided to check it out. (I beat Amber to it, ha ha.)
Hmmm, this tree is green, it has lights and dangly things, but it doesn’t taste like a Christmas tree. Maybe if I take a bite further up.
It doesn’t really smell like a Christmas tree either. What gives?
Nope. No taste. Hmmm. Oh, duh, it isn’t a real tree. Well shucks! Mommy cheated. She put up a fake tree for Christmas. Its not fair! I wanted a real tree.
Don’t bother me. . . I’m pouting. I wanted a real tree.
