Everything about these two is nice.
Sugar (the silver tabby) has a few more doses of antibiotic to take. All indications are that she is over the mystery illness that plagued both kittens last week. Spice (Spicy) is back to her normal, mischievous self.
Once she began to feel better, Spicy returned to using me as her personal tree whenever I’m working in the kitchen. Such interesting things go on up on the kitchen counter. She just has to get to a good vantage point, usually from my shoulder. Ever tried to wash dishes with a kitten on your shoulder? It gets interesting!
It is difficult to take pictures unless they are asleep. In the one above, Spicy had worn herself out with her feather toy. It matches her coloring so well I didn’t realize it was there until after I took the picture.
Sugar is curious about everything. . .
Just what is in this jug? It has a kitty picture on it.
Of course, Sugar plays until exhausted too. She took one of her naps today with her adopted Uncle Mikey.
Mikey was one of the first cats to accept the little girls and is their Lord Protector. They know they are safe with Uncle Mikey on the job.
Precious looks after them as well. Having been a mother cat, her instincts kicked in soon after their arrival. Of course, she is older than when she raised “The Wrecking Crew” (Amy, Amber, Tigger, Mikey, and Maggie Mae). Looking after Sugar and Spicy wears her out. . .
We had a good weekend here at the Cat House; no sick cats, no major disruptions, and lots of fun with the kittens. Finally!
I wonder how long it will last?
